  1.    This is the procedure to auto log
  2. onto the CIS network using a 1660/Modem
  3.  300 (c) and an auto log file using
  4. 'VIDTEX' (c) terminal software.
  5.  
  6.    Refer to the auto start prg. on your
  7.  'VIDTEX' (c) disk. Load then list the
  8. program and change line 10 to the
  9. filename of the name you give this file.
  10.  An example is on page 38 of the
  11. 'VIDTEX' (c) users guide. Then save this
  12.  file under any legal filename.
  13.  
  14.    Next load 'VIDTEX' (c) and then run
  15. it. Select meta I to create a new auto
  16. log file. Name this file exactly as the
  17. name you gave in line 10 in the above
  18. program. The program will prompt;
  19.

  21. with a 1660 modem/300;
  22.  
  23.         Prompt:$
  24.       Response:_@1_&PHONE NUMBER
  25.         Prompt:$
  26.       Response:_%_%_%^c$
  27.         Prompt:ID:
  28.       Response:YOUR ID NUMBER
  29.         Prompt:word:
  30.       Response:YOUR PASSWARD

  32. At this point I assume that most every
  33. one can enter the proper prompts &
  34. responses to navigate once on line.

  36.         note; $=escape
  37.               _=meta function
  38.               %=wait 2 seconds
  39.               &=wait 1/2 second
  40.               @=dial phone
  41.  
  42.         When you want to end the auto
  43. log file enter a '$',(escape),at both
  44. Prom    :,Response: then 'VIDTEX' will
  45. close the file.
  46.         Remove the disk then turn off
  47. the computer and turn it on. Load the
  48. auto start program with the file name
  49. you gave to the first program you saved.
  50.  NOTE;'VIDTEX' and the AUTO START
  51. PROGRAM and the AUTO LOG programs MUST
  52. be on the same disk.
  53.         If you want it to run automatic
  54. then enter the load this way;
  55.         LOAD"your filename",8:
  56.         yes print a ":" after the 8 then
  57.  hold the shift key down and press the
  58. run/stop key. Itshould then print    OAD
  59. behind the ":".It will load then run by
  60. its self then it will load vidtex,which
  61. will load the auto log file and execute
  62. it.
